The Leighton Buzzard Group of the Ramblers' Association was established in 1985 and has grown steadily ever since.  Situated on the western edge of Bedfordshire, adjoining Buckinghamshire, Leighton Buzzard is a good area for walking with gently undulating countryside, Grand Union Canal towpaths and several wooded areas.  Walks on the Downs, around the Ashridge estate and through Woburn are particularly popular.
